Doggie Style Classic Pale Ale Bottle Double Dog Double Pale Ale Bottle Gonzo Imperial Porter Bottle
Flying Dog Brewery label redesign, 2007. Illustrations by Ralph Steadman. Flying Dog Brewery has some of the most distinct labels in the entire beverage industry. Much of this is due to the unorthodox illustrations of Gonzo artist Ralph Steadman, and the rest of the design needed to standardize the brand to achieve a unified brand identity. See the rest of the Flying Dog redesigned labels or see the evolution from Flying Dog’s old labels to the new design

SAVOR video, 2008. Flying Dog Brewery was a presenting brewery at SAVOR, a craft beer and food festival in Washington, D.C. When I wasn’t pouring beer and talking with interested consumers, I shot and edited video about the whole event. (HD version)

Dude vs. Habanero video, 2008. Gonzofest was Flying Dog Brewery’s big party in September 2008. In addition to creating signage, backdrops and other necessities for the party, I shot video throughout the day. This video is part of a series from the whole day’s activities. Many of the videos I’ve created for the brewery are helping us to have over 85,000 total views online.(HD version)

Wild Goose IPA Bottle Wild Goose Portfolio Page two
Art Direction, Wild Goose Brewery brand refresh, 2008. A lesser brand in the Flying Dog portfolio, we executed a brand refreshing to update the design. Their award-winning ales are English beers inspired by the Chesapeake Bay. I worked with Object 9 to redesign these labels. (See the rest of the Wild Goose redesigned labels)

Souvenir Ticket, Bard Capital Challenge, 2005. We developed this souvenir ticket (accordion-fold, perforated) for spectators of an end-of-year tournament. Spectators used this novelty item to get autographs of the participating players, who included John Daly and Nick Price.

Shop 'til you drop.jpg
Soccerstop ad campaign, 2005. We developed an edgy ad campaign for Soccerstop, a brick-and-mortar and online retailer of Soccer equipment. A call to action directed soccer players to their website for online ordering.

New Years Cover.jpgPresidents Day Cover.jpg
Newspaper collector’s covers, 2003 and 2004. The Vail Daily has promotional artistic covers on their newspaper for holidays. I enjoyed taking a more fine art approach to some design pieces.

Medeski Martin and Wood Story.jpg

Medeski, Martin and Wood article, 2004. I was able to interview Bassist Chris Wood (from the jazz/funk trio Medeski, Martin, and Wood) for the A&E cover story in the Vail Daily.

russells ad 2.jpg
Spec ad for Russell’s Steakhouse, 2003. Although determined to be too edgy for the upscale Vail steakhouse, I decided to develop an aggressive and fun ad campaign to be shown along with the more staid and conservative design.
